Cancer affects all of us. More good days is our wish for patients along with their families and friends.
“Would you like to get together for coffee?”
It’s a question I get every week from friends, business contacts, job seekers, sales people, networkers, and others. Think back. My guess is you hear it a lot too.
I don’t drink coffee. I’ve never liked it. What I do like is opportunities to make a difference.
That is why, on November 11, 2017, I will be joining people from across Arizona at the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) Light The Night Walk. We will be walking to show our support of families who are or have been impacted by blood cancers. We are also working together to raise funding for programs that support life saving and life changing research so that people living with these terrible diseases can have more good days.
LSS funded research is making a difference. Money raised through Light The Night allows The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) to fund treatments for patients who are suffering from all forms of blood cancers. The impact of LLS supported research goes beyond blood cancers too. The discoveries made in blood cancer research have led to break through treatments for many cancers and other serious diseases.
For people living with cancer, more good days is a blessing.
Someone I care about is living with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) and began her journey of life with this terrible disease. She looks a lot like the woman in the picture. The journey is long and it is hard for her. It’s also hard for everyone who loves her. She’s still fighting for more good days and so are we!
Cancer affects all of us. More good days is our wish for all cancer patients along with their families, their friends, and their co-workers.
So, let’s not get together for coffee.
Let’s get together to do something that can make a difference. If you can join us on November 11, 2017, great! It would be wonderful to spend the evening with you.
If you can’t make it, please consider donating what you would spend on my cup of coffee.
