“Over the years, there has been lots of talk about the importance of quality – but with what results and at what cost?” asked Joan-Koerber-Walker, executive director of CorePurpose, Inc. “In the October Ready Set Grow session, local executives will explore the impact of quality on business results and apply it in a way that makes sense no matter what the size of your business.”

Over the past 100 years there have been many innovative approaches to organizations that want to improve the quality of the products and services delivered to their Customers. Many of these approaches were developed by Quality leaders such as Demming and Juran. Most of these methods are still being used with varying degrees of success. In the early 1980’s one organization decided to use Quality as the way to compete against the onslaught of excellent products that were being imported to the USA by Japan.

The session will explore:

• Six Sigma—The fundamental methodology developed by Motorola
• Why it worked so well then
• Why it CAN work for your organization today
• And why it stopped working for Motorola in the late 1990’s.

Attendees will have the opportunity to listen to executive experts share insights and then participate in workshops designed to apply the same concepts to their own companies.
